Details emerge after Vlahovic and Di Maria left frightened following attempted break-in

Thieves attempted to break into Angel Di Maria’s house in Turin last night whilst he was having dinner with Juventus teammate Dusan Vlahovic.

La Gazzetta dello Sport details how the pair have started building a strong relationship in the Piedmont capital following the Argentinian winger’s arrival in the summer and last night they were having dinner together at Di Maria’s house in Turin.

The attempted robbery took place at dinnertime and the alarm was raised by private surveillance, allowing the police to quickly respond and foil the thieves’ plans. One of the three, a Romanian national, was arrested after a brief chase but the other two managed to escape and are now being hunted by the authorities.

The three thieves climbed over a fence in the garden and were seen by a security guard on CCTV, who immediately set off the alarm and alerted the police. They attempted to escape empty-handed as the authorities arrived within minutes, leaving the Juventus pair frightened inside. One of the thieves was caught after a brief car-chase and a gun was reportedly found in a nearby garden.

Unfortunately for Di Maria, this is not the first time that he’s been targeted by thieves. During his time in Paris, a break-in occurred and his wife and daughters were present as thieves ransacked his home.
