Fatih Karagumruk goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano weighed in on the discussions surrounding Darwin Nunez’s headbutt on Joachim Andersen in Liverpool’s draw with Crystal Palace yesterday.

The Reds’ £85m marquee signing was sent off in the 57th minute of yesterday’s 1-1 draw at Anfield after appearing to headbutt opposition defender Andersen following some jostling in the box. The Crystal Palace defender had stuck to Nunez throughout the game and seemed to do a good job limiting his impact and frustrating him.

Writing on Twitter today, Viviano commented on the situation, recalling his experiences with Andersen during their time together at Sampdoria.

“It seems to me that Nunez did everything, by the way I played with Andersen, he talks once every 5 days.”

Viviano and Andersen spent the 2017-18 campaign together in Liguria before the Italian goalkeeper left for Sporting CP.

The Fatih Karagumruk goalkeeper also has ties to the Premier League, having spent the 2013-14 season on loan at Arsenal, although he didn’t make a single competitive appearance for the Gunners before returning to Palermo.
