The 28-year-old saluted fans and spoke to Tuttomercatoweb as he got into his taxi towards the airport, leaving the Viola pre-season training camp.
“It’s been a good experience, thank you to everyone,” said the Brazilian.
He had been linked with Besiktas, but opted for a return to his old club Palmeiras in a deal worth a reported €5.5m.
