Wednesday is going to be very busy for Genoa, as both Olympique Marseille forward Vitinha and Sheriff Tiraspol striker David Ankeye will undergo their medicals.

The Grifone are very active on the transfer market in the January window and are focusing on reinforcing their attacking options.

Vitinha said goodbye to his Marseille teammates today and emptied his locker at the training ground, then arrived in Genoa late this evening.

This is a loan with option to buy at the end of the season for €25m.

Meanwhile, the paperwork has now come through from Sheriff Tiraspol for Ankeye.

This is a permanent deal worth €2.5m and he will sign a contract to June 2028.

The 21-year-old Nigerian is also expected to undergo his medical on Wednesday.

There was a delay because Genoa had to clear a space for a non-EU player, which they did by selling Pablo Galdames to Vasco da Gama for €0.9m.
