Villarreal are not prepared to pay the agreed €15.5m fee for Carlos Bacca and want to renegotiate with Milan, it’s reported.

The Colombia international has said repeatedly he is happy in Spain and wants to make the move permanent.

He scored 18 goals with seven assists in 43 competitive games for the Yellow Submarine this season.

Although Milan agreed a fee of €15.5m on top of the €2.5m for the one-season loan, La Gazzetta dello Sport maintains Villarreal now want to haggle for a discount.

The Rossoneri need to get as much out of the sale as possible, having paid €30m to sign him from Sevilla in 2015.

If the Spaniards won’t pay up, then Milan could bring Bacca back to base and find another club willing to shell out a higher fee.
