The youngster, who moved to the Italian capital in January, revealed the quarantine period spent alone in isolation forced him to do more housework.

Roma midfielder Gonzalo Villar reveals he ‘feels a certain responsibility’ to remain careful and help the resumption of Serie A.

The youngster, who moved to the Italian capital in January, revealed the quarantine period spent alone in isolation forced him to do more housework.

“In recent weeks I have understood that I’m able to do certain things,” he told Onda Cero. “Previously, I had a lady who came to clean my house, but during the lockdown we weren’t allowed contact with anyone, so I had to do it myself.”

The 22-year-old only managed to play three times for the Giallorossi before the interruption and he has claimed he does everything he can to prevent infection and to help resume the campaign without further complications.

“The truth is that I don’t leave the house,” he said. “Furthermore, I feel a certain responsibility towards the club.

“Everything is super clean at Trigoria, we try to limit contact as much as possible. Going out with friends for dinner would expose me a lot and I think I must be careful.

“If all the players did the same, in a month we would be full of infections and won’t be able to restart the championship.”

Roma sit fifth in Serie A before the resumption, three points behind Atalanta in the battle for Champions League next season.
