Former Italy forward Christian Vieri praises Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic: ‘For his age, he is the best striker one in Europe after Erling Haaland.’
Vlahovic scored 21 goals in 37 appearances with Fiorentina last term, and Vieri predicts the Serbian can find the net as many times in 2021-22.
“Vlahovic, after Haaland, is the best striker in Europe for his age,” Vieri told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He is a top striker and will score 20 goals easily next season.”
Vlahovic is in talks with Fiorentina to extend his contract beyond 2023, which is when his current deal expires.
Tottenham, Juventus and Milan have been linked with securing his services and Spurs could jump to the front of the queue if Manchester City break the bank for Harry Kane.
According to reports in Italy, Fiorentina could include a €70m release clause in the striker’s new contract.
