Christian Vieri heaped praise upon Borussia Dortmund and Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland. ‘Not even Marco van Basten was that good at age 20.’
The retired Italy hitman is hugely impressed by Haaland, who turned 21 in July and scored 41 goals in 41 competitive games for his club last season.
Vieri was speaking on his Twitch channel, Bobo TV, when asked if Haaland was like a mixture between him and Adriano.
“I played with Adriano when he was 20 years old, but the Brazilian wasn’t as strong as Haaland,” replied the former Inter hitman.
“I have not seen anyone in the last 20-30 years as good as Haaland in the centre-forward role. Perhaps not even Van Basten was that good at age 20.”
Haaland also has 12 goals in just 15 senior caps for Norway.
Let me guess – he says that because MVB was from Milan. The technique that the Swan had was unparalleled, maybe Zlatan was there but that’s it. Van Basten every single goal you can imagine. Quit weed Bobo

@putuco Have you seen the goals Haaland has scored in europe and in bundesliga? He has great technique and skill for his age. To compare the 2 is not unreasonable. Also, Bobo has played for Milan and has many friends who played there, so your point is invalid.
