Christian Vieri was not particularly convinced by Inter’s plans to sign both Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku this summer.

The Nerazzurri are desperate to strengthen their attack this summer in order to provide Simone Inzaghi with a more competitive squad and they’re dreaming of two top signings. The first is Lukaku’s return, but this is proving tough for the time being. The other is Dybala, who will likely join on a free transfer later this month.

Speaking in Viareggio at the Bobo Summer Cup, Vieri spoke about the possible idea of seeing Lukaku alongside Dybala and Lautaro upfront for Inter next season.

“I don’t know, in my opinion no. Lautaro and Lukaku yes.”

Inter are hoping not to sell one of their top stars this summer, wanting to keep ahold of Lautaro and talented Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni, who has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham in recent weeks.

It’s hard to imagine Inter picking up both Dybala and Lukaku without also making some sacrifices in other areas.

  1. Defences win leagues, not attacks. It is madness to get rid of Skriniar, a great defender who has given everything for us and wants to stay. And to sacrifice such a great, loyal player to bring back a player who jumped at the first opportunity to abandon us for London? Hell no, it can’t be allowed. Also replacing Skriniar will be next to impossible.

Also, having the 3 sounds too good to be true. And in almost every single circumstance, if something sounds too good to be true, it’s because it is!

  2. Bait and switch by Suning.

Tell us that we might sell Bastoni, or at worse De Vrij. Then reveal it is actually Skriniar that they are shopping around…
