Napoli star Piotr Zielinski broke the deadlock in Poland-Saudi Arabia, while Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny produced an incredible double save to keep his national team in front.

The Partenopei midfielder scored Poland’s first goal in the competition, finding the net at minute 39 after a brilliant assist from Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski. Poland had collected a 0-0 draw in their debut at Qatar 2022 against Mexico earlier this week.

Zielinski’s goal could have been cancelled out by Salem Al-Dossari, who fluffed a penalty kick just five minutes later.

Juventus goalkeeper Szczesny didn’t only save the spot-kick but produced another superb save on the rebound, helping his national team keep their lead.

  1. That will go down as one of the best double saves in the history of the World Cup. Unbelievable reaction save on the second effort.
