Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara awarded Sandro Tonali following his 100th appearance with the Rossoneri and the Italy international gave a brief speech to his teammates at Milanello.

The 22-year-old had made his 100th appearance with the Serie A giants in their 0-0 draw against Cremonese on Tuesday and was awarded by Milan directors at Milanello on Thursday.

β€œI want to thank the team, the gaffer and the staff because it’s been an amazing journey so far which we need to continue this season, especially this period to come, thank you,” said Tonali before a morning training session at Milanello, as shown by the Serie A champions in a video published on Twitter.

Tonali joined Milan on loan with an option to buy from Brescia in 2020 and the Rossoneri made his move permanent the following year despite not convincing performances from the Italian starlet.

He has now become one of the regular starters under Stefano Pioli and signed a new contract until 2027 in September.
