Fans have been enjoying footage of former Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini attempting an audacious bicycle kick for LAFC in their most recent MLS clash against St. Louis SC.
With the scores level at 0-0 a few minutes into the second half in the early hours of Thursday morning (UK time), the 39-year-old went for the spectacular, although was ultimately kept out by former Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Burki.
LAFC re-posted the clip along with the caption: “ 39-years-young,” while his former side Juventus replied “like a fine wine,” in the comments.
Chiellini and his team did go on to keep a clean sheet, but were also unable to score themselves. Settling for a 0-0. LAFC find themselves third place in the MLS Western Conference with a game in hand on Seattle Sounders in second.
