Over a thousand Milan supporters congregated outside Milanello on Sunday afternoon in a show of support for Stefano Pioli and the Rossoneri players after a confrontation between the supporters in the stands and the squad ensued at San Siro on Saturday following the 2-0 Serie A loss to Spezia

Shortly after the final whistle at the Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday afternoon, Pioli and his players were called over to have a discussion with the fans in the Curva Sud and, according to reports, one capo spoke at length with the team, before the players walked away to mutual applause.

After a call was put out on Saturday night to summon the Milan Ultras via social media, waves of supporters gathered outside the team’s training complex the following afternoon.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, both interactions were overwhelmingly positive as the ultras urged the players and staff to give their everything on the pitch until the end of the season.

Fans were armed with drums, banners and megaphones, chanting as they made their way towards the training centre, where they were eventually greeted by Pioli and the first team squad.
