Thomas Tuchel reveals he might’ve broken his toe during the dramatic Bayern Munich team talk ahead of the Champions League clash with Lazio.

Both teams were in terrible form going into this game, but the pressure was all on the Bundesliga outfit, especially after losing the first leg 1-0 to a Ciro Immobile penalty.

If he had gone out at the Round of 16 stage of the Champions League, then Tuchel would almost certainly have been fired without even making it to the end of a dead rubber season.

This probably explains why Tuchel felt he needed to give an extra intensive motivational team talk in the locker room, but he might’ve taken it too far.

“In my last speech before we went out, I kicked a door, and it was the wrong technique. It feels like I broke it,” the coach told CBS Sports.

They rode their luck tonight when Immobile missed a free header at the back post, as moments later Harry Kane put Bayern Munich in front and they doubled their lead in first half stoppages with Thomas Muller redirecting a Matthijs de Ligt volley.

Kane added another after the break and Ivan Provedel fingertipped another Muller attempt onto the upright for the 3-0 final result, 3-1 on aggregate.
