Sandro Tonali and Olivier Giroud scored their first official goals for Milan in the first half of their match against Cagliari.

The Rossoneri are up 4-1 at half-time against the Sardinians.

The Italian midfielder broke the deadlock after 12 minutes through a marvellous free-kick into the near post.

It was his first goal in an official game with the Rossoneri. Tonali had joined Milan from Brescia on an initial loan deal one year ago, but the Serie A giants made his move permanent earlier this summer.

Olivier Giroud, on the other hand, completed a permanent move to Milan from Chelsea in the summer and had an excellent pre-season, netting three goals.

He scored two more in the first half against Cagliari. For the first one, Brahim Diaz sprinted forward on the counter, Theo Hernandez was up there dragging defenders away, allowing the Frenchman the space to just bend it into the far top corner with the inside of the left boot.
