A challenge on Fiorentina striker Moise Kean drew a furious reaction from his teammates during a pre-season friendly against League One side Bolton Wanderers on Friday evening.

Midway through the second half of Friday’s friendly, Bolton defender George Johnson slid in with a robust challenge on the former Juventus, PSG and Everton forward.

Though the Englishman seemed to win the ball, Fiorentina players were not pleased by the intensity of the challenge in what was meant to be a pre-season run-out.

Several players from both sides came together in the aftermath, before eventually being separated by the officials.

Fiorentina went on to draw 1-1 in Lancashire on Friday night. They are also due to play Preston on Saturday, before facing Hull City on Tuesday to complete their mini-tour of the North of England.

  1. Reckless my ar@3 It was a fair tackle he got all of the ball if any thing it was Kean that fouled leaving a trailing leg it caused outrage because we won the ball and you soft Italians can’t take it Kean went down like he’d been shot which is typical of cheating continentals when they are being outplayed which was what was happening at that point in the game because they are being out played they start all this play acting nonsense like a cheating continental as usual because he lost the tackle he decided to try to cheat the official and the stupid referee bought it like they usually do what about the tackle on Thomason that should have been a red…you were being beaten shown a thing or two by a third division side and you couldn’t take it

  2. To be fair, the defender won the ball but ended up making contact with Kean’s other leg totally by accident.

  3. “Cheating continentals”
