Sassuolo failed to get beyond 0-0 in a friendly against Sudtirol, but it almost didn’t go ahead after a torrential storm.
The Neroverdi had to postpone the match by 45 minutes so that the thunderstorm could calm down a little in their Vipiteno training camp.
It evidently wasn’t much better, seeing as Jeremie Boga’s shot was rolling towards the goal until it got stuck in a puddle, allowing the defenders to clear.
The rain resumed in the second half and unsurprisingly the two teams just wanted to reach the final whistle in one piece.
