Brighton defender Leo Ostigard is undergoing his medicals with Genoa ahead of a six-month loan deal.

The 22-year-old arrived at Genoa today and is undergoing his medicals with the Serie A strugglers.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Ostigard will join the Grifone on a ‘dry’ six-month loan deal.

Ostigard spent the first part of the season on loan at Stoke City and has played 13 games across in the English Championship this season, scoring one goal.

Andriy Shevchenko’s Genoa sit 18th in the Serie A table with 11 points in 19 games.

Meantime, Genoa have also announced the signing of Silvan Hefti from Young Boys on a permanent deal.

  1. Typical Genoa signing mediocre foreign players. What are they even trying to do here? these players aren’t helping them survive. That lame Ekuban guy is their starter and he hasn’t scored a single goal while their only dependable goal source in Destro is always injured. I’m glad they’d be relegated this season.
