Juventus youngster Matias Soule is now on the ground in the Italian capital ahead of his impending move to Roma

Roma supporters were waiting in their hundreds for his arrival at the airport on Sunday evening.

Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi was also treated to an overwhelmingly excited reception from the Giallorossi supporters.

The 21-year-old set off from Turin earlier this evening, and is expected to undergo a medical at Trigoria on Monday morning. He will then sign off on his official documents, before Roma make an official announcement, which could arrive later in the day.

The Giallorossi have had to fend off Premier League interest from Leicester City in order to complete a deal for the Argentine talent.

It will be a permanent move to the Stadio Olimpico, at a total cost of €30m for the Giallorossi. Daniele De Rossi’s side will pay €26m up front, plus €4m in bonuses, half of which are ‘easily-achievable’ and the other 50% said to be more complex.

The Juventus Next Gen graduate is expected to be involved with the first-team squad for their friendly against Olympiacos on Saturday. He will also travel with the team for their pre-season friendly against Everton on August 10.
