Son Heung-min is overjoyed to be working with Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur, thanking the Italian coach for a special gesture in South Korea and teaching him the goal celebration.
The 30-year-old is in the form of his life with Spurs since Conte took over in November 2021, scoring 20 goals and providing eight assists in only 32 competitive matches.
Son admires Conte off the field too, confessing to reporters that the manager had introduced him at the 47th minute during a friendly in his home land of South Korea in pre-season, because the fans wouldn’t give him the same standing ovation if he was subbed on at half-time.
“I really appreciate it,” said Son.
The player thanked him by teaching his coach the classic Son goal celebration during a press conference.
