Former Inter players Wesley Sneijder and Marco Materazzi watched on from the stands with the rest of the Nerazzurri supporters as Simone Inzaghi’s side booked their place in the Champions League final at the expense of rivals Milan on Tuesday night.
Both players were involved the last time Inter made the final of the competition, when they beat Bayern Munich 2-0 to lift the trophy under Jose Mourinho back in 2010.
Sneijder and Materazzi were filmed celebrating as Lautaro Martinez’s 74th minute winner hit the back of the net at the Stadio Meazza on Tuesday, which set the scores to 3-0 over the two legs of the semi-final.
Inter will face off against either Manchester City or Real Madrid in the final at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium on June 10, depending on the r=outcome of Wednesday night’s other semi-final.
