Milan Skriniar was spotted training individually for Inter as the rest of the squad prepared for Wednesday night’s Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina, sparking hope that the departing Slovakian could be in line to return in time for the Champions League final on June 10.
This was the first time that Skriniar has trained on the grass for Inter since reporting issues with his back, which looked set to bring a premature end to his season and importantly his Inter career, given that he is set to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in the summer.
However, as Skriniar was spotted running and working with the ball on Tuesday afternoon, Tuttomercato have reported that Skriniar could be aiming to return to fitness in time for the Champions League final against Manchester City in June.
Whether or not he will have the necessary match sharpness to feature in such an important fixture is another issue, as the 28-year-old has not played since the quarter-final second leg against Porto on March 14.
