Diego Simeone is in Naples to enjoy the Scudetto celebrations and received a very special gift – a statuette of his son Giovanni.

The Atletico Madrid manager is no stranger to Serie A, having played there for Pisa, Inter and Lazio, then having a brief period as coach of Catania in 2011.

His son Giovanni helped Napoli win their first Scudetto in 33 years, contributing three goals in 20 Serie A games, as well as five between the Champions League and Coppa Italia.

The trophy will be presented to the squad after Sunday’s match against Fiorentina at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Meanwhile, Simeone Senior was given a precious trophy of his own, a statuette of his on in the Napoli jersey.

Naples is famous for its hand-crafted statuettes that often reflect local heroes and famous figures, who are then used in the traditional Christmas scene.
