Giovanni Simeone closed the Serie A season with a fantastic strike into the top corner and celebrated holding up a match-worn Diego Armando Maradona jersey gifted to him by the Napoli legend’s family.
Cholito came off the bench in this evening’s 2-0 win over Sampdoria, the final game of the victorious campaign that saw them clinch the Scudetto for the first time since Maradona’s time in 1990.
Argentina international Simeone had met with Maradona’s family this week and was given a match-worn Napoli Number 10 jersey.
So after scoring a stunner this evening, he ran to the touchline and held it up to the crowd.
