The Serie C match between Cesena and Olbia ended in chaos when Cristian and Stiven Shpendi’s father rushed onto the pitch and tried to punch the goalkeeper.
The problems started when Shpendi was forced to leave the field due to a nasty cut to his eyebrow, caused during a collision with Olbia goalkeeper Filippo Rinaldi.
At the final whistle, Shpendi’s father rushed down from the stands and aimed a punch at Rinaldi, before he was intercepted by members of the Cesena staff.
He is also the father of striker Stiven Shpendi, who plays in Serie A for Empoli and is Cristian’s twin brother.
