Former Milan forward Andriy Shevchenko rolled back the years in a charity match on Friday evening by scoring a penalty against legendary former Italy captain Gianluigi Buffon.

The two Serie A icons were involved in a fundraising event in Ljubljana on Friday night, organised by UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin to help with the costs of devastating flooding in his home nation at the beginning of August.

During the game, Shevchenko was entrusted to take a penalty on behalf of his team, cooly chipping a panenka past a diving Buffon.

Shevchenko has scored a fair few goals past Buffon in his time, but the most important of those came just over 20 years ago: The winning penalty for Milan against Juventus in the 2002-03 Champions League final at Old Trafford.
