Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca scored a brilliant goal against Milan, levelling the score in the first half at San Siro.

The 22-year-old scored his fourth Serie A goal this term unleashing a rocket from long-range that flew into the top corner.

Mike Maignan could only stare at Scamacca’s shot which helped Sassuolo level the score just a few minutes after Alessio Romagnoli’s opener.

Shortly after, Scamacca also caused Simon Kjaer’s own goal, so Sassuolo went into the break 2-1 up.

  1. For hopes of us Italy fans, at this age Scamacca has to be on the level of Osihmen and Vlahovic. Seems like he is a year or 2 behind in his development but nothing playing time for him can’t fix.

  2. You can’t watch the build up to that goal without having your head in your hands. Bakayoko is in a relatively comfortable position of either holding possession, or going back to maignan or Kjaer. Remember this is virtually right after Milan had scored. Instead he not only gives possession away by playing a 50/50 blind pass, but then instead of staying deep, he immediately tries to close down the player with absolutely no chance of getting anywhere near the ball played thru to Scamacca. Scamacca has a good 3 seconds to measure up the shot 🤦🏻‍♂️ This is a player who has played for France, Chelsea, Monaco etc etc. Playing in the champions league. The lack of basic positional awareness is just shocking.

  3. I am getting bored Rosa, everybody has a television, wifi and broadband so no need for re-run commentary. Bakayoko playing for Chelsea and France means nothing as he flopped badly for them and you took him back. Back to back defeats, welcome to the Juventus club.
