Juventus defender Daniele Rugani has left Turin and is on the verge of joining Ajax on loan.

Juventus defender Rugani will undergo medical tests with Ajax today before completing a loan move until the end of the season.

Rugani had signed a contract extension with Juventus only a few months ago, just before Thiago Motta’s appointment.

However, he later found out that he was not part of the new coach’s plans, so Juventus reached an agreement with Ajax.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, the Lancers will not pay a loan fee but will cover a large part of the defender’s salary during his one-year stay at the club.

“I wish Juventus a season rich with satisfaction and victories,” Rugani told Ilbianconero.com before taking off for Amsterdam from Turin’s Caselle Airport.
