Roma fans have gathered under Paulo Dybala’s house to thank him for deciding to turn down the €75m over three years offered by Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah.
They thought that he’d be taking a private jet to Saudi Arabia this evening, having emptied out his locker and said goodbye to his teammates at the Trigoria training ground.
However, instead he caused a shock to the whole city by announcing via Instagram that he was staying with the Giallorossi.
This evening, groups of fans rushed to his home in the Eternal City to chant his name and hold up banners.
