A group of Roma fans confronted Paulo Dybala and Leandro Paredes on their arrival at Trigoria for the first training session under Daniele De Rossi: ‘Now Mourinho is gone, you have no more excuses.’

Roma players were reportedly ready to train under Mourinho this morning, but the Giallorossi owner Dan Friedkin arrived at Trigoria to announce that the Special One had been sacked.

It is no secret that Roma fans had a solid bond with Mou, and many thanked the Special One when he left Trigoria late on Tuesday morning.

Players returned to the training ground in the afternoon for De Rossi’s first session in charge of the Giallorossi. The Argentineans Dybala and Paredes were in the same car and were stopped by a group of supporters.

One fan said: “It’s time to show some balls, Leo,” while another one added: “Now Mourinho is gone, so you have no more excuses.”

“We know, we know,” Paredes replied.

Roma fans had blamed players in the aftermath of a 1-0 Coppa Italia loss against Lazio on Sunday, calling them ‘Mercenaries.’
