Rafael Leao had not found the net for Milan in Serie A for five months, but he broke that drought in style with a stunning solo effort against Atalanta.

The Portugal international’s last goal in this competition was back on September 23 against Hellas Verona, although he had since scored in Europe, including a midweek strike away to Stade Rennais.

Leao took everyone on and won down the left flank, nutmegging Emil Holm, flicking it over Giorgio Scalvini who had gone into a sliding tackle and then bending the ferocious right-foot finish into the far top corner from a tricky angle to give Marco Carnesecchi no chance.
