Christian Pulisic is ‘loving life’ with Milan and admits he ‘never thought I’d feel so comfortable on the right side’ of the attack, but playing opposite Rafael Leao ‘changed my game.’

The former Chelsea striker has flourished since the €20m transfer to San Siro, where he already set a new personal best of 12 goals and eight assists in 39 competitive games.

“I am loving life over there. It’s been incredible just to be given some confidence, I’m sure you can see it in my play and just the way I’m feeling,” Pulisic told CBS Sports.

He lifted the CONCACAF Nations League trophy last night after a 2-0 win over Mexico and brought some of that club form back with him to the USMNT.

With Rafael Leao on the left, he inevitably had to make his home on the right side of a supporting trio behind the centre-forward.

“I never thought I’d feel so comfortable on the right side, to be honest. I still think I prefer being on the left side, I have a lot of strengths coming in from the left side.

“I’ve learned a lot, it’s changed my game a lot, I find ways to get into the box and score goals from the right side.”
