Polish commentators mocked Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri yesterday after seeing Dusan Vlahovic replaced by Giorgio Chiellini.

The Bianconeri secured a 2-1 win against struggling Venezia thanks to a brace of Leonardo Bonucci at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday.

The victory was enough to snatch a top-four finish, given that Roma picked up a 0-0 stalemate against Bologna later in the evening.

However, It wasn’t a performance to remember for the Serie A giants, who ended the game with less ball possession than their rivals. Not everyone was impressed with Juventus’ win, from fans to pundits.

Massimiliano Allegri’s defensive tactics attracted criticism and the coach was also mocked by Eleven Sports’ commentators in Poland, who laughed when seeing Dusan Vlahovic replaced by Giorgio Chiellini.

Repubblica and La Stampa report that the commentators had predicted that Allegri would make a defensive move in the final minutes. Vlahovic was replaced at minute 79.

“We apologise to viewers, but we were joking, we were ironic, Mr Massimiliano,” they said while the former Fiorentina star was leaving the pitch.

  1. the commentators are silly. juve has a copa final against iner coming up soon. last thing a team wants is vlahovc to pick up an injury. if the 3 points is secured then he can rest players next round.

  2. As a very big juve fan and a huge critic of Allegri I still find it laughable when juve fans call him a joke.

Yes the man is set in his ways and we are never going to play the best football with him in charge, but he gets us results.

Chiesa, Mckennie, Chiellini, Bonucci, Dybala, locatelli – 6 starters have all had injury problems. Ronaldo left at the start.

The same players have started and finished so many games in a row… Credit where credits due this year and hopefully a good transfer market and we hope to see improvement next season.

  3. I’ve supported Juve for over 40 years, this is the worst football I’ve seen us play. We’re literally dominated by every team we play, horrible to watch. No excuses, highest paid manager in Serie A, he spent over £100m during this crisis, we have the highest wage bill in Serie A!! No identity, no system of play… hideous!

  4. @Danny you mustn’t have watched many games then. Do you not remember the nightmares of Maifredi? Del Neri? Zaccheroni? Ferrara? Ranieri? Those really were the Juve dark ages.
After the scudetto at Milan in 2010-11 (first since 2004), he won eleven trophies: five consecutive league titles (from 2015 to 2019), four Coppa Italia titles in a row (from 2015 to 2018) and two Supercoppa Italiana titles (2015 and 2018); he also reached two UEFA Champions League finals (2015 and 2017). I’ll take that and so would ANY other Italian team. Not bad for no identity or system.

  5. As a Pole, regularly watching matches on various Polish TV channels: Polish commentators are famously clueless. I’d much prefer watching matches with English or Italian commentary, or with no commentary at all.

  6. Ye ye ye the same excuse every time Juventus plays … clearly Venice had all-star team on pitch, so it was difficult to keep the ball in the team ..what did Venice have in their team ?? ohh jaaa Gardiola, Pirlo, Puyol, Maldini, Canavaro, Pele, Maradona, Baggio, Muller, Thuram, Edgar Davids, Baggo … So I do understand why they play the way they did LOL

  8. Don’t be daft @fatecisognare
    can’t u remember that between 2011 to 2018
The dummy Allegri had one of the best squads in Europe, without any decent competition from any other Seria A team and your telling everyone he was successful dont make me laugh,
Even now he’s second string is far better than most teams in seria A and he stil struggles he’s a dummy and a joke

In his past to go out against teams like ,Monoco,Ajax in CL says it all he had an equivalent squad to the likes of Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool they managed to win the CL
hes been given so many years to improve and win the CL with Juve
    No Further Forwardby y,
    makng the same old mistakes

Even now Juve have great squad it’s just that that they got a clueless coach
He hasent learnt a single thing in his time out of the game.

  9. You can make joke with Allegri, but all knows, from next season Allegri will start new cycle of Juventus scudetti, until he will be sacked because he only made finals of CL. That’s why we need desperately to win 20th scudetto. 😛

  10. Wow everyone now knows Allegri is a joke,
No-one is going to try and hire him which is bad news for Juve
they are stuck with him until end of his contract,
anyhow Allegri wouldn’t have had the guts to leave juve he knows he won’t last long elsewhere

  11. Think they are bad, PhD Max is even more loathed in India as even he can put them to sleep faster then a game of cricket lol. I await the clown Deburah.

  12. I hate this kind of football Allegri is playing, it hurts seeing my team play in this cowardly manner. How will you face madrid and bayern and other giants with this approach when all you think about is playing cowardly and not taking the bull by the horns. Dusan wants to win top scorer and there is a few minutes left! Let the man play for the love of god! Obviously he made a mistake by joining juve under Allegri.
