Napoli striker Victor Osimhen seemed to aim his provocative celebration towards Verona fans who had been racially abusing him.
The bitter history between the sets of fans is absolutely no secret, nor is the Hellas Verona fanbase’s reputation for racist elements.
After scoring on the stroke of half-time to turn the game around from 1-0 to 1-2, Osimhen kicked the ball into the stands in anger at the Verona supporters who had been making monkey noises.
According to Sportitalia, that prompted even more abuse, so the Nigeria international mocked them by pretending to cry into the camera.
