Napoli striker Victor Osimhen had an eventful opening Africa Cup of Nations match, as he danced with Nigeria and scored, but couldn’t get more than a draw against Equatorial Guinea.

Last season’s Serie A Capocannoniere, the first ever African to achieve this feat, has struggled this term along with the rest of the Napoli squad to follow up their Scudetto triumph.

He seemed in a playful mood when the Nigeria squad arrived at the stadium for their opening AFCON game with a song and dance in the tunnel.

It wasn’t quite so enjoyable once the match kicked off, as Equatorial Guinea took the shock lead after 36 minutes with Iban Salvador.

Osimhen was at the back post for a header to equalise just 120 seconds later, but Nigeria were expecting far more from this fixture.

The Napoli forward had the opportunities to win it, only to miss when going clear.
