Napoli ultras were on strike during their match against Milan and sat in silence, but there were also two ugly incidents when the fans started brawling amongst themselves.

The ultras from the Curva A and B had already announced their intention to strike in this high-profile fixture at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, sitting in silence without flags or scarves in protest at rising ticket prices and increased security measures.

If they were trying to argue that they deserve less stringent security, then that failed spectacularly when a brawl erupted inside the Curva B during the first half of the match.

Incredibly, another fight broke out between Napoli fans straight after half-time involving dozens of people.

Some of the ultras were trying to stand with their backs to the pitch and only making insulting chants towards Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

According to Tuttonapoli.net, when some of the fans nearby refused to stick to these rigid rules and tried cheering on their team, it prompted an angry response from some ultras leaders.

It is not entirely dissimilar to the situation when Inter ultras walked out of their match with Sampdoria in October 2022 and tried to force everyone in the area to do the same, even with physical violence.

In this case, not even all the ultras are united, as the Fedayn group disagreed with the Ultras 72.

The situation deteriorated even further in the final 10 minutes with numerous fireworks lit up, sending families fleeing.
