Jose Mourinho’s reaction to Nicolò Zaniolo putting Roma ahead in the Conference League Final with Feyenoord raised eyebrows.
It was a splendid finish 32 minutes into the match in Tirana, Zaniolo chesting down a Gianluca Mancini ball floated over the top and flicking it over the on-rushing goalkeeper.
While the Giallorossi went wild on the pitch and the touchline, Mourinho did not change his expression, instead urging his staff and players to get back on the bench and calm down.
He has won all of his previous European Finals, so the Special One knows there’s a long way to go and Roma should not get ahead of themselves.
That calm demeanour caught the eye of supporters and pundits, a world away from Mourinho’s usual touchline antics.
