Alvaro Morata has arrived in Italy to begin his new Serie A adventure with Milan, greeted by singing supporters at the airport.

The striker was given extra vacation time because he helped Spain to win the EURO 2024 trophy in Germany this summer and his season only just ended.

He was welcomed by supporters at the airport, wearing a Milan scarf around his neck and posing for selfies.

He completed the transfer from Atletico Madrid for the €13m release clause in his contract and signed a deal until June 2028, with option to extend for another year.

The medical tests were completed and contract signed in Madrid before he left with his family, including Italian wife Alice, for their vacation.

Now it’s time to get back to work and Morata will hold his presentation press conference tomorrow.

It is his third Serie A experience after two different stints at Juventus from 2014-16 and again from 2020 to 2022.
