Milan begin their pre-season today with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Theo Hernandez, Fikayo Tomori and Sandro Tonali who have already arrived at Milanello.

The Rossoneri will train for the first time this season today at 6 pm local time at Milanello.

According to Calciomercato.com, Ibrahimovic arrived at the club’s training center but will not train with his teammates as he is recovering from a knee injury.

These, according to Il Giorno, are the first-team players that will train at Milanello today: Ciprian Tatarusanu, Alessandro Plizzari, Alessio Romagnoli, Fikayo Tomori, Andrea Conti, Mattia Caldara, Theo Hernandez, Matteo Gabbia, Tommaso Pobega, Rad Krunic, Daniel Maldini, Samu Castillejo, Rafael Leao, Alexis Saelemaekers, Jens-Petter Hauge, Lorenzo Colombo.

Calciomercato.com reports Sandro Tonali was applauded by the Rossoneri fans outside the gates of the training centre as the Italian midfielder has taken a pay cut to return to Milan.

“On Thursday 8 July, in the late afternoon, the first training session for the 2021/22 season will take place. It will not be open to the public. The Rossoneri are ready to start preparing for the new season in full compliance with Covid-19 protocols,” a Milan official statement reads.

“Before the work begins, Coach Stefano Pioli will say a few words. At 14:00 CEST, live on Milan TV, Facebook and the official App, the AC Milan Coach will answer journalists’ questions in a press conference, starting by outlining the team’s approach for the upcoming Serie A, as well as the long-awaited return to the Champions League.”

Milan’s first summer friendly will be against Ligue 1 side Nice on July 31.
