Getafe defender Mathías Olivera has arrived in Rome to undergo his medicals with Napoli.

The 24-year-old is the second summer signing for the Partenopei after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. A few minutes ago, he arrived at Rome’s Villa Stuart to undergo his medical examinations with Luciano Spalletti’s side ahead of an initial loan move from Getafe.

Napoli have an obligation to make the player’s move permanent for €15m. Olivera arrived in Italy with his agent Pablo Boselli and is currently undergoing his medical tests.

He will replace Faouzi Ghoulam, who will leave the club at the end of his contract in June and will be battling it out for Mario Rui for a starting spot at left-back in 2022-23.
