Inter director Beppe Marotta gave a telling response to a fan who begged him not to sell PSG target Milan Skriniar.

The centre-back has been valued at €70m and Paris Saint-Germain have so far only proposed circa €60m including various add-ons.

At an event in Cervia this evening, a supporter was caught on camera telling director Marotta to make sure he doesn’t sell Skriniar this summer.

“No, no,” replied Marotta with a smile.

Meanwhile, reports in France note that PSG are starting to look at other targets, realising perhaps Skriniar is going to be a difficult objective.

  1. Those who know the game confess that Skriniar is a much better defender than De ligt, Bremer or Kounde. So yes, anybody who wants him should pay atleast 80M$.
So leave our loyal player alone.

  2. If he’s better than De Ligt, why Bayern didn’t buy him? Why PSG or Chelsea is reluctant to pay 60m plus? He’s too slow and 60m including bonus is too generous.

  3. @Dytraitor
Same reason why any striker from Argentina is twice as expensive as anyone of their caliber from most other countries. If you still don’t know, the football world is run by agencies and it’s all about Marketing. Oh, you must absolutely know about it with that name.
Skriniar is from Slovakia. who was the last Slovak player you remember? A player from a country with a 5 million population that non of them watches Football and people confuse it with Slovenia has a much smaller market than a Dutch player in the Bundesliga, a home for Dutch players.
You won’t sell 20 million Euros worth of Skriniar shirts in Slovakia or Munich for sure or have him in many advertisements and TV right stuff.
If you wonder, that’s why players are worth a lot besides their skills, Their power to sell.

Not to mention his contract expires in 2023 And besides, he is obviously not into that stuff at all after dismissing his previous agent to just focus on playing rather than marketing.

  4. lol not only do banter milan fail to land their targets, they also fail to sell to balance the book. what a tickling time bomb

  5. Loyal yeah right. If they don’t sell, he’ll come to Juve next year on a free. Bremer was supposedly loyal to Inter too.

  6. Well, we know Marotta often talks with a forked tongue. Inter has no money, Zhang is broke so an offer of $70m for this guy would be accepted in a heartbeat.

  7. All the detractors on here will have to change their jibes once PIF take Inter over – then it will be human rights blah blah. Looking forward to it.

  8. @Urban Sombrerosays: You’re at PIF board of directors or something? There is absolutely no rumours about it. You have been claiming these things for over a year. I don’t know if you follow the news, but PIF took over Newcastle. How pathetic to wait for you club to be taken over by someone else. Really reeks of desperation. When this will happen then that. That the tune of Inter fans. In summer we will sign Bremer. Yeah you sure did. Skriniar will sign an extension. Sure buddy.

  9. 90 percent of the comments here have nothing to do with the actual football played on a pitch , soooo, it’s all off point in my opinion.
