The Viola had started the stronger of the two teams at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, already forcing a couple of saves from Marco Carnesecchi.
However, the goalkeeper had no chance getting to that Mandragora left-foot hammer from at least 25 metres out – circa 30 yards – as it bounced in off the inside of the upright at the top corner of the goal.
