Roberto Mancini has overseen his first training sessions as the new coach of the Saudi Arabia national team.

The CT was appointed just 14 days after abruptly handing in his resignation from the Italy job, which he had held since May 2018.

This contract until 2027 will reportedly make the 58-year-old the highest paid national team coach in the world on at least €20m per season.

While in charge of the Azzurri, Mancini oversaw 39 victories, 13 draws and nine defeats, winning the EURO 2020 trophy.

His first games for Saudi Arabia will be played at St James Park in Newcastle, as there are friendlies against Costa Rica on Friday September 8 and South Korea on Tuesday September 12.
