Watch as Gianluca Mancini prevents a new Derby della Capitale negative record by giving Roma their first goal against Lazio in over two years.
The defender got away from Alessio Romagnoli to power in the header from a Paulo Dybala corner just before half-time.
Not only did it give the Giallorossi the lead in today’s match, it was the first goal Roma had scored against their arch-rivals since a 3-0 victory in March 2022.
That was followed by three defeats and a 0-0 draw between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, all without finding the net.
Had Mancini not scored, it would’ve risked Roma failing to find the net in five consecutive editions of the Derby della Capitale for the first time in their history.
