Atalanta wingback Joakim Maehle lit up UEFA EURO 2020 with a spectacular trivela assist for Kasper Dolberg in Denmark’s quarter-final against the Czech Republic.
La Dea and their players continue to dominate the tournament with many of their players scoring goals or creating them.
Maehle is a right-back who is right-footed, but showed that was nothing to stop him putting in an astonishing cross with the outside of his right boot from the left flank.
It was met by Dolberg for a cushioned volley at the back post from six yards.
That wasn’t the only Serie A contribution of the game, because Udinese’s Jens Stryger-Larsen whipped in the corner for a Thomas Delaney opening header.
Atalanta signed Maehle from KRC Genk in January for €12m, but his transfer value will have doubled after EURO 2020.
Joakim Maehle, that is outrageous!
Find us a better assist at Euro 2020 – we’ll wait.#CZEDEN | #ITVFootball | #Euro2020 pic.twitter.com/pfLQ6PCLjL
