Milan’s Charles De Ketelaere pulled out a remarkable through-ball with the outside of his boot for Belgium against the Netherlands on the opening day of the Under-21 European Championship on Wednesday evening.
De Ketelaere, who was deployed as part of Belgium’s midfield three on Wednesday, sent teammate and rumoured Serie A target Lois Openda through on goal with an inch-perfect “trivela”, although the subsequent shot was kept out by Bart Verbruggen in the Netherlands net.
Milan colleague Rafael Leao later responded to the clip, which proved to be popular online, by quote-tweeting the video with the message “crack”, a term of endearment, often for a particularly skillful player.
