Rafael Leao appeared to be in a relaxed mood on the eve of Milan’s crucial Champions League clash against Newcastle, as he grooved his way onto the St James’ Park turf during the Rossoneri pitch inspection on Tuesday evening.
The Portuguese has been sidelined for the last four matches across all competitions with a thigh strain sustained in the first minute of Milan’s 1-1 draw with Lecce in Serie A in November.
However, Pioli confirmed during his press conference on Tuesday night that Leao is fit and ready to start against Newcastle.
Shortly after arriving in the North East of England on Tuesday night, Leao and the Milan players took a customary lap around St James’ Park to familiarise themselves with their surroundings.
The situation did not seem to phase Leao, who broke out into a little dance as he made his way out onto the grass.
