Thousands of Lazio fans have travelled for tonight’s Champions League match with Bayern Munich, but some were filmed making fascist chants and salutes, with one arrest.

The game kicks off at the Allianz Arena this evening at 20.00 GMT.

Supporters have been flooding into Munich since yesterday and have largely been peaceful, enjoying the bars and nightlife that the German city has to offer.

However, there is always a core element of ultra-right-wing ultras and they too were present, filmed in a Bavarian beer hall singing about Fascist dictator Benito Mussolini’s ‘black shirts.’

It is possible they didn’t choose the venue by chance, as it was also where Adolf Hitler held the first major meeting of the Nazi Party.

According to Bild, there has been one arrest, who was released after paying a large fine.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany and it is technically against the law in Italy to show Fascist symbols, but hardly ever enforced.
