Inter striker Lautaro Martinez scored the winner in Argentina’s 1-0 victory over Perù in a World Cup qualifier.

The South Americans took all three points thanks to a Lautaro header in the first half.

The 24-year-old pounced on a Nahuel Molina cross from the right, scoring with a diving header.

Lautaro played 85 minutes and was replaced by his Inter teammate Joaquin Correa for the last five minutes of the match.

El Toro has scored five goals in six Serie A appearances this season.

Inter have reached an agreement over a contract extension with the Argentinean and will announce a new deal in the coming days.
