Lautaro Martinez has ended his eight-game goal drought in style and celebrated his first Champions League goal of the season, putting Inter in front against Barcelona at Camp Nou.
El Toro had not scored in the Champions League yet this season and his last goal was in Serie A on August 30 against Cremonese.
The Argentina international played eight competitive matches in a row for Inter without finding the back of the net, until this moment on Hakan Calhanoglu’s assist.
It put Inter 2-1 up, after Nicolò Barella had cancelled out the Ousmane Dembele opener.
Only two Inter players have ever scored in this stadium against the Blaugrana, Barella and Lautaro Martinez, as the Argentine already netted here in October 2019.
